Acropolis project became the first stage of conceptualising the future development, as well as re-imagining the spaces of Archstoyanie, and assuming architectural and landscaping strategies on full scale. Acropolis is a cultural cluster including hotels, art residences, workshop and exhibition spaces. The concept is based on a chain of twenty gardens, each having its unique ecology and program. The twenty ecologies are connected together to the “frame” (250x250) by a path, that has a special relation with each of them - “necklace structure”. The inner void is organised as a free landscape with open program for different events, installations and contains three main port elements - hill, pond, field. The frame is a “starting point”, which defines the future development around. Each of the twenty gardens exhibits a unique combination of nature with a specific program, would that be a farm of the exhibition space, managed by a curator.

The frame imposes 3 different scales on the territory, which work together, from main structure for the future development. The micro-scale of the gardens allows for intense programmatic use, with highly defined specific functions. The medium scale of the field inside the frame becomes a contained stage for temporary, ephemeral actions, such as the festival itself. The extra large scale of the landscape outside of the frame gradually regains its original state of unpolluted endless-ness.
